Sports

Dr. Scoppa has traditional training and certification in sports medicine through the ACBSP. However, he found the traditional methods of diagnosing and managing sports injuries, and increasing sports performance, to be lacking. He has developed a method of analysis and treatment that is much more efficient at finding the potential issue or suboptimal movement, and quickly correcting it. This involves a more holistic and advanced method of working with the neurology to break old patterns and establish new ones.

Sports Injuries

Typically these are considered extremity problems (knee, wrist, etc.) but often include, and stem from, issues within certain areas of the spine and skull. This is especially true of non-contact injuries or problems. The brain and cranium are key components to correcting any non-contact sports injury.

Performance Enhancement

Training with less than optimal mechanics and muscle activation leads to a reinforcement, and eventual deepening of dysfunctional patterns. Exercise base therapy alone cannot correct these patterns, and actually reinforce them. It's important to correct these issues prior to exercise therapy, so that your training acts as a neurological reinforcement of proper movement patterns.

Dr. Scoppa has developed a unique system of analysis and treatment to find weak spots within your kinetic system and correct them, prior to problems arising.
