Headache, Neck Pain, Tinnitus, and other Craniofacial Dysfunction
Although many cases of craniofacial pain do involve the jaw, bite, or TMJ, craniofacial pain can come from a variety of other areas, even as far away at the feet! However, just because we find something, doesn't mean it's what's causing a given symptom. Additionally, sometimes hyper mobility is playing a significant role in these conditions and needs to be screened for, and if found warrants a different type of treatment plan.
Dr. Scoppa has had advanced training in diagnosing and managing craniofacial pain, and has experience with many different types and causes of headache, neck pain, and tinnitus, to name a few. Aside from a deep knowledge of this area of the body, he uses indicator based systems of analysis to determine what needs to be done on a given visit, and what is happening from a more macro perspective. For example, headaches can be from an almost endless list of causes, and based on a patient's history, exam, and response to treatment, Dr. Scoppa will have a solid idea about what the cause will be, and what options are available to deal with it.
